Why 'electric'
As a result of the development of a dense and reliable electricity network, the electric motor plays an important role in power transmission. The highly efficient and flexible format makes this engine suitable for virtually everything that moves, from consumer goods to complex industrial processes. However, the advantages of the modern electric motor are still relatively unknown. For example, capital goods can be deployed considerably more efficiently if the speed of the electric motor is adapted to alternating loads and/or conditions.
The step-less control of electric motors
using modern power electronics - the frequency converter - offers some notable
advantages: uniform processes, acceleration and deceleration control, different
speeds/rotational speeds for different processes, compensation for changing
process variables, use of accurate positioning, controlling torque and
traction, etc. What’s more, a balanced load on machinery also has a positive
impact on longevity, maintenance and energy use.
